Per Traditional Chinese Medicine, White Bean (hyacinth bean) can supplement Spleen to improve digestion. It can also reduce dampness inside our body, which means it may improve diarrhea, fatigue and low energy levels and stomach cramps etc.

 

It is advisable to fry the bean before eating, which can even improve its function to resolve dampness. 

 

Besides, Hyacinth beans are high in copper, which can help to maintain mood and focus.

 

Hyacinth bean is effective in reducing the risk of colon cancer, because it can help the colon to maintain its beneficial microbiota.

 

However it is not recommended to consume raw ones from cyanogenic glycoside content.

 

You can boil the fried bean soup (30 gram + 1L water) every day to tonify digestion, improve diarrhea, fatigue etc.  

 

 

Those who aren't used to eat legumesshould gradually increase their portions to avoid gastrointestinal flatulence etc.
